I have had a running list of items in my head that I would love to get for fall. I finally decided to sit down and write it all out (which I hope will keep me from going overboard when it comes to buying clothes). Here are the key pieces from my list for fall!
1. Nice Sweater
I have lots of cardigans but not a ton of pullover sweaters. I think this burgundy one is adorable and a perfect color for fall. I think it would come down to this color or a full sleeved one since most of mine are already 3/4 sleeve.
2. Chambray Shirt
I don't have many button up shirts and I feel like a chambray shirt is kind of classic and would never go out of style. They are pretty in for fall. I love, love, love this one... mainly because it has polka dots!
3. Everyday Bag
I have a few bags but not a single one that I consider a good "everything bag". You know, that bag that goes with almost anything and can be worn anywhere. This satchel is perfect. The color goes with pretty much anything and it can be dressed up or down. It's at the top of my list.
4. Thick Scarf
I love scarves. My fall uniform is pretty much sweater + scarf + skinny jeans + flats or boots. I think a thick scarf is a staple and since most of mine are thinner and more summery I will probably invest in one for the chillier weather.
5. Colored Jeans
I am a bit hesitant to get a pair of colored jeans (I'm not sure if I can pull them off) but I feel like it would be a good way to shake things up, rather than just wearing plain old blue jeans. I like this color (again the burgundy is great for fall/winter). I'm not sure if this is the exact color I want (since I also would love a burgundy sweater and I don't want color overkill) but I think starting with a darker, more muted color might be the way to go.
And there you have it! All my fall essentials that I am hoping to invest in soon! I have a few more items on my list but these were my top 5 things that I'm looking into purchasing.
