I recently switched up some of nail polish storage. I wasn't looking to re-vamp it, but when I came across these stacked apothecary jars, I thought that my nail polish would look cute in them. I had just enough Essie polish to fill the small containers. I am thinking if I out-grow this one, I may upgrade to the larger one and keep the small one for my future bathroom.
I am currently keeping it on top of my bookshelf along with candle and a picture frame. I'd like to get a plant or something, once spring rolls around, just to spruce things up a bit more. The polish is divided by fall/winter, pinka/nudes, and spring/summer colors.
Spring & Summer Colors (Counterclockwise):
Mint Candy Apple: A pastel creme de menthe mint. Even though this is bunched in with spring and summer colors, I wear this year round. One of my favorite Essie shades.
Borrowed & Blue: A powder pale blue. Similar to mint candy apple, but more blue.
First Timer: Another fresh, minty green, although this one is on the much brighter side of things.
In The Cab-Ana: A creamy aqua azure. Reminds me of the ocean or a pool in a tropical paradise.
Where's My Chauffeur?: Opulent bluish-turquoise. Very similar to In the Cab-Ana but leans on the greener side.
Pinks & Nudes (from left to right):
Lady Like: An muted dusty-rose/mauve color. My go-to polish and favorite nail color.
Pilates Hottie (No longer available): A subdued, pinky, taupy lilac. Another one of my favorites. It can go from looking lavender to pink depending on the lighting.
Eternal Optimist: Another rosey-nude shade. Similar to lady like, but more pink and a little brighter.
Fall & Winter Colors (Clockwise):
Mink Muffs: A smokey brownish-taupe color. One of my favorites for fall.
Cocktail Bling: A pale grey, with a slight purple undertone. A great shade for the holidays, especially New Years.
Carry On: A dark, purpley-burgundy.
After setting up and going through my entire collection, I can definitely see which colors I tend to gravitate towards (cool tones and nudes). It looks like I could use a few coral-toned shades and possibly a more red-toned burgundy next fall. Cute As a Button I've got my eye on you...
It looks so cute! Also, the photos are beautifully arranged.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I think I'm getting pretty good at the photo thing, if I do say so myself!
