J. Crew Wishlist by kadunnin featuring j.crew
I have recently decided to kick-start re-doing my wardrobe. I have been unhappy with my closet for awhile now/bored with the items I own. I feel like my style can be a bit scattered and I let other people have too much stock in what I buy/get rid of. No more! I also want to embrace a more grown-up style and be able to have more fun dressing up for work, rather than going for a boring pair of slacks and blouse. I am going to try and weed through my closet and slowly build a more grown-up wardrobe. These are just a few things I have come across on past trips to the J Crew factory store, and online, that I have had my eye on.
I get a lot of use out of my Madewell chambray shirt, so I thought a slightly different chambray would be a good investment. This one is a darker wash and I love the pattern (of course). Most importantly, this could function as both a work and weekend wear shirt. I'd probably pair this with colored cords and a neutral flat for work and black jeans for the weekend.
While I love my black flats, I feel like a nude flat is equally, if not more, versatile. I have had my eyes on these for awhile but could never bring myself to purchase them. I love the big bow detail and I don't have many pointed-flats, so these would be a nice addition to my wardrobe.
I don't have a lot of skinny-style pants to wear to work and would like to invest in a few pairs. Since I am hesitant to wear colored jeans (I have seen others wear them there) I thought colored cords would be a slightly dressier option. I think I'd get the most use out of these neutral ones but if I like them enough, I might look into some other colors.
I love pops of red and think this blazer would add a nice pop of color to my pretty-neutral wardrobe. I keep going back and forth between this one and the navy. I like them both! I'd probably wear this on a casual friday with dark jeans and my ruffled polka dot top.
This bracelet seems super versatile and therefore, a good investment, right? It could be worn on its own or in an arm party with a big, gold watch. It could be worn to work, casually, or on a night out.
