Style: Fashion's Night Out

Thursday night was Fashion's Night Out. Since we couldn't get all the way up to New York, Emma and I decided to check out a closer FNO event at our local mall.

There were a lot of events going on around the mall and in the stores. Some stores had raffles and giveaways. There were also a lot of gifts with purchase events as well. Some stores even had snacks. We decided to check out some stores that we'd both never been in before. I've always wanted to check out Madewell. I've seen their stuff on tons of fashion blogs and it looks cute and comfy, but I was hesitant because of the prices. Although some of the items were on the expensive side, I did find some really cute things. I might be heading back there if I've got some money saved up. They even had refreshments!

Madewell had these cute little mason jars you could drink sparkling cider from. Delicious!

Outside the stores, there were photo shoots and "runway shows". We were a little disappointed that there were no actual runway shows, but it was in fact, models walking up for a photo shoot. Customers could also get their own picture taken but we decided not to.

It was a fun night and definitely something different than the normal mall trip. Next year, I'm hoping to get up to New York for fashion week for the first time. While I may not dress super extravagantly or expensively I really do have an interest and love for fashion and would love to see NYFW at some point in my lifetime!
