Saturday Emma had her birthday party! The party was fall themed since it was the first day of autumn. It certainly didn't feel like it though (the weather was 80 degrees)! I went with a light sweater so I wouldn't be too hot and wore a tank underneath so I could take the sweater off if necessary. Even though it was still warm, I felt like the boots were a must for fall!
There was lots of tasty fall-style foods! Emma even made a menu listed all the recipes being served, so anyone with allergies could see what was in the dish.
Drinks were served in little mason jars. Another cute fall touch! This was hot apple cider. It had extra spices and citrus added to it. Yummy!
Potato soup and cheddar cheese on top.
Gluten free biscuits
In addition to stuffing our faces we also squeezed in a game of Zombie Flux and Game of Things.
And at the end of the party, we each got to take home a little gift box that had a mug and homemade chocolate syrup! It was a nice, relaxing event and I got to catch up with some people that I haven't seen awhile. It made me even more excited for cooler weather!
