Top 10 Beauty Items from the Drugstore

Normally when I do these 'Favorites' style posts, I limit myself to choosing 5 items. With this one however, I could not seem to limit myself or choose only 5 things. When it comes to drugstore makeup and beauty products, there are so many inexpensive fantastic options out there. These are 10 products that have worked really when for me a,would repurchase and would highly recommend.

From Left to Right: Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, Real Techniques Brushes, and Johnson's Baby Shampoo.
I love using these Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes to help remove my makeup before bed. They don't feel super harsh on the skin, do a good job of taking off makeup, and most importantly, do not cause me to break out.

I only own 3 Real Techniques Makeup Brushes but I love each of them and use them just about everyday. They are inexpensive (most brushes run less than $10.00) and, for the price, are great quality. I have never had a problem with shedding or the brushes falling apart. The next brush on my list to try is the stippling brush.

You may be wondering why baby shampoo is mixed in with makeup and beauty items. Baby shampoo is a great, inexpensive way to clean your makeup brushes. I have never tried an expensive brush cleanser, but I don't really feel the need to. This stuff works great and makes brush cleansing super easy.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
I know, I know. I have talked this Milani blush to death on this blog but only because it is fantastic! This is seriously the only blush I used all summer. Luminoso is just a luminous peachy shade and it leaves your skin with a very healthy looking glow.

I first wanted to try this pressed powder because I had heard great things about it and was looking for something new to try. The first time I used this, I ended up with a horrible string of breakouts along my forehead. So, thinking it was the powder, I threw it into the back of makeup drawer and went back to something else. I was super disappointed, as I had loved the finish of the powder. Turns out though, that it was actually a hair product causing my breakouts (from my hair brushing against my face). Ever since I figured that out, I have been using this powder. I use the transparent shade, which is great because you don't have to worry about color matching, and it doesn't leave your face with that weird, white-cast. My only gripe about this is the packaging, which makes this difficult to travel with. I wish it came in a compact.

ELF Cover Stick and Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer
This cover stick has to be one of the most pigmented concealers I've ever used, and the best part? It only costs $1.00! It's got great coverage and is great for handbags/traveling because it is super tiny. Would highly recommend you try this one!

This is my third tube of this highlighting concealer. I love using this under my eyes and down the bridge of my nose to create luminous looking skin. It brightens up the skin and doesn't crease on me.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows in Tough as Taupe
and Bad to the Bronze, and Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Flared
Again, I won't spend too much time going on about these eyeshadows, as they have already been mentioned/worn a ton on my blog. They are long-wearing and super easy to work with. Out of the two, I would have to say that Bad to the Bronze is my favorite, simply because I use it more often and I love bronzy, gold-toned eyeshadow.

I have tried my fair-share of drugstore mascara: Covergirl Clump Crusher, The Rocket, ect. Out of all them The Falsies Flared is my favorite. I have been asked multiple times when wearing this, if I am wearing false lashes. This one will be a definite repurchase.

Revlon lip butters in Sugar Plum, and Berry Smoothie
The last item on my list is another cult-makeup lovers favorite, the infamous Revlon Lip Butters. These are the only two I own and I love using them on lazy makeup days instead of lipstick.

Left: Sugar Plum, Right: Berry Smoothie
They give a nice, sheer wash of color to the lips without looking to heavy or done-up. I'd say the consistency is in between a lip balm and a lipstick. I tend to use these two when it's colder out, to keep my lips from getting super chapped.

That is all for my top 10 items from the drugstore. Leave me a comment letting me know what your favorite drugstore finds are!
