What's In My (Makeup) Bag?

Last month, I did a post on What's In My Bag. I decided to expand on that a bit and show you what's in my makeup bag. What I carry around in my travel makeup bag changes often, depending on what  products wearing for the day. I tend to switch it up on a weekly basis to make sure I'm getting use out of a lot of my makeup products. However, these are the items that are almost always in my makeup bag, no matter what.

1. Kate Spade Cosmetic Clutch: This is the makeup bag that I use everyday. It was a graduation present from a friend. It is a good size and holds just about everything I need. The bag is nylon, so it is easy to wipe clean.
2. Paper Towels/Napkins: I always keep a clean paper towel or napkin in my travel makeup kit. I keep these in case I need something to blot with or if I need to wipe up a spill. It's just one of those things I like to keep on hand, just in case.
3. Bobby Pins/Hair Clips: I used to carry around hair ties when my hair was longer, but now I just stick to a few bobby pins or a hair clip. When it gets hot out, I  usually pin or clip my hair back to get it out of my face.
4. Milani Baked Blush in 'Luminoso': I always bring whatever blush I am using for the day with me, in case I need a touch up. This is the one I am currently using and use the most often. It is a pretty peachy-coral color and gives the skin a nice glow. No need to bring a powder blush, as there is a tiny one in the bottom of the compact, as well as a mirror. I love that the mirror is seperated from the blush itself, which helps keep it from getting too dirty.
5. Lip Products: I also always bring along whatever lip combo I am using for the day. The one I'm currently loving is Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick in 'Airy Fairy' and Mac's Cremesheen Lipglass in 'Richer, Lusher'. I didn't always love this lipstick and found it dried out my lips easily, but I finally figured out how to make it work, by wearing a balm underneath and layering gloss on top (I used to just wear it by itself). 'Airy Fairy' is a light pinky-nude lipstick and 'Richer, Lusher' is a coral-peach lipgloss. I prefer more pink-toned nudes, so my lips don't look dead and I like how this lipgloss brings out the pinkish tones in Airy Fairy.
6. Philosophy 'Living Grace' Rollerball Perfume: I like to carry around a travel-sized rollerball of perfume to use if I feel like I need to freshen up throughout the day. I got the Living Grace body wash last Christmas and fell in love with the scent, which is very light and clean.
7. NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Power Foundation:  I don't normally set my foundation with a powder, but I do bring one with me to use on my T-zone since that can get shiny throughout the day. I'm not totally in love with this face powder, but it gets the job done and was the right price.
8. Band-Aids: Like paper towels, these may seem like an odd item to have in a makeup clutch, but it's just another one of those things I like to have on hand. I like having these especially when I'm breaking in new shoes and know I'm probably going to get a blister or two.
9. Lip Balm: The last thing I always have with my is lip balm or chapstick, which I may have a slight addition to. I've been trying out the A Great Kisser Lip Balm by Soap and Glory. It is a slightly coral-tinted lip balm and tastes like peaches. I love that it is super hydrating and basically melts into your lip. I also always have one of my EOS lip balms. Right now I switched over to my Summer Fruit flavor for the warmer months. I bring this one in addition to the Soap and Glory one because it has SPF in it and I'm not always able to dip my fingers into the Soap and Glory one. Using this one helps make things a bit less messy sometimes.
