3 Outfits for 3 Summer Activities

Although I don't really enjoy the hot and humid weather that comes along with summer, I do love the adventures it brings. I love to do all your typical "summertime" activities, like going to the beach, bonfires, watch fireworks, ect., ect. I decided to play around on Polyvore for a bit one evening, and came up with 3 different looks for different summertime activities. I don't own every piece of clothing in these sets, but these were all looks that I thought would be appropriate/functional for each venue.

1. A Concert

I am going to see Maroon 5 later this summer. I am super excited, since I haven't been to a concert in quite some time and I love their music! Since summer concerts can get hot, both indoors and out, I went with cut-off shorts and a band-tank (feel free to sub in your band of choice!). A lace bandeau creates a breezy, lighter layer under the tank. The crochet TOMS are comfy and will still allow your feet to breathe. I prefer to bring smaller, crossbody bags to concerts, so I do not have to hold or lug around a huge bag. Finally I added a teal polish for a pop of color!

2. The Beach

The Beach

The beach is probably my favorite place to go in the summertime. I try to go at least once a year. I prefer tankinis, simply because I feel more comfortable in them. This set from Target is nice because it belongs to a mix and match collection, so there are many different colors, styles, and options of swim suits. I always wear a tank dress or coverup over my swim suit, in case I go out to eat or something and need to cover up. Sandals are kind of a no-brainer and I think they looks a little dressier than plain-old flip-flops. I also always bring a big tote bag with me, so I can fit all my beach essentials: big towel, sunscreen, phone + headphones, sunglasses, and a good book. I discovered these seabag totes the other day while browsing the internet and think they are neat (too bad they are out of my price range). They are mostly nautical themed and made out of recycled sails.

3. Farmer's Market

My last summer activity is visiting your local farmer's market. If you have not visited one, I highly suggest checking out if there is a farmer's market in your area. You can find some amazing treasures, not to mention tasty treats. For this outfit, I went with a loose, eyelet dress, which will come in handy walking around outside on those hot summer days. A straw hat and sunglasses will help keep the sun out of your eyes. This cute bicycle-print bag can hold all your purchases and finally, a neutral pair of flat sandals are stylish but still comfy.

  1. I really like this post! You should do more Summer things (drive in movie, amusement park, hike, etc.)
