As most Sephora shoppers know, buying things from Sephora ain't always cheap. So, when I recieved my 15% discount for VIB members in the mail, I thought I'd stock up on some things I've been wanting to test out and repurchase a few items that needed replacing. I also had an Ulta coupon for 10% off prestige cosmetics and 20% off everything else. Do I need another excuse to take a trip to Ulta?
While I didn't end up with the exact list I had in mind, I did find a few things I wanted, plus one unexpected item.
Bobbi Brown Corrector
The main thing I wanted to try from Sephora was the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and, of course, they did not have the shade I needed. I decided to try another concealing product instead. The Bobbi Brown corrector is a peach-pink based concealer that is designed to cancel out any dark-purple tones under the eye. Now, I don't have crazy dark circles under my eyes but I do get a little bit near my tear-duct. I like how this just seemed to brighten my whole face and since I have been sticking to just concealer (trying to lighten up my skin-routine), I know this will come in handy in my everyday routine!
This one was an unexpected find, and perhaps the one I am most excited to try out. I have never seen a blush like this before, and since I don't have a ton of blush, I decided to give it a go. I went with Dragonfruit, a bright poppy pink that I thought would be perfect for spring and summer. This color is brightening, yet still natural looking and you only need the tiniest amount. So, even though the bottle is quite small, it should last a long time. Also, the tiny bottle makes it the perfect travel blush and you don't even need to use a brush to apply it! These seem to be one of those multipurpose products that can be used on the cheeks and lips, but I found this kind of drying on the lips.
Nars Tolede Lipstick
I have also been on the hunt for a new 'nude' lipstick. When I say nude, I don't mean those 'washed-out, concealer-lips' looking nudes. I wanted something that was (and I hate this phrase) a 'my lips but better' color. I tried this one on a whim and loved it! It is a nice rosey-brown pink color, super creamy and comfortable to wear.
Essie 'Cute as a Button'
I mentioned in my Essie polish collection post, that I was severely lacking a coral color (not just with essie but with all my polish in general). I picked up 'Cute as a Button', which is a coraly-grapefruit looking color. Again, perfect for spring and summer!
Anastasia Brow Whiz in 'Soft Brown'
My last item is a repurchase. I cannot say enough good things about this eyebrow pencil. It is my favorite way to fill in my brows because it makes it so quick and easy! The pencil is tiny, which makes it easy to create natural looking lines. This color is light enough that it still looks natural and not super heavy. I also love that this has a convenient little spoolie on one end to comb through your brows.
